We are currently producing some articles on narrowboat restoration and refurbishment and are looking for a some photographs of narrowboat interiors, either in need of restoration, restoration in progress or how your ideal boat was finished.

This isn't intended to be a promotional article for Coates & Company, but a general article for the narrowboat community, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can email pictures to me or post digital images on a cd/dvd to the address on the contacts page. Please let me know the boat name and I will include it in the articles for any photos we use.

Refitting and Refurbishment

Every once in a while its time for a change, so whether its a minor or major job then please get in touch and discuss your requirements.

For any major refitting we will come and assess your boat at its location, detail your requirements and measure up before providing a full written quotation for any works.

Do It Yourself

Restoring a narrowboat is the dream of many DIY enthusiasts and Coates & Co can still help out, if progress seems slow or you just need a hand with a to get finished off then contact us and we will see how we can help.

Plans & Designs

Every boat is individual, but there are features that can be tailored for any narrowboat. Coates & Company can provide plans for a variety of standard internal boat fixtures, which will require only minimal adaption for different hulls.

Premade Furniture

Even if you are Doing it Yourself we can help out with premade units for all areas of your boat.
