A Gloss Finish

The outside of any Coates & Company narrowboat is as attractive as the inside.

The exterior is hand painted with no less than 7 coats of hard wearing deep gloss enamelled paint.

All our external fittings such as side step, tunnel light, horn, etc are in black or brass to continue the theme set throughout the vessel.

Colour Scheme

Our hulls are painted the traditional black and the cabin areas in a rich maroon with painted panels of various designs, examples of the scrollwork designs featured on boat panels can be found throughout the website.

Sign Writing

The finishing touch of any boat is the name, before completion we will arrange the sign writing for your chosen name in your preferred style.
